PALCOYO MOUNTAIN RAINBOW

The day will begin with pick-up at your hotel in Cusco, where transportation will be available to take you to the south of the city.

On the way, you will stop in Checacupe, where you will have the opportunity to observe the evolutionary process of the road system. Here, you will see three types of bridges: the Inca Bridge, which represents pre-Columbian engineering; the Colonial Bridge, which illustrates the Spanish influence on architecture; and the Republican Bridge, which symbolizes the modern development of the region.

Continuing with the tour, you will arrive at the Palccoyo Community. Here, you will be able to appreciate an impressive geological process characterized by multicolored strata, where ocher, red, green, blue and white tones stand out. This natural phenomenon is a clear example of the geological diversity of the Andean region.

After the visit, a stop will be made in the village of Cusipata to enjoy a typical breakfast at an altitude of 3,310 meters above sea level. This time will allow us to recharge our batteries before continuing with the adventure.

After breakfast, the trip will continue to Phurawasipata, where we will set up camp at an altitude of 4,650 meters above sea level. During the trip, you will be able to enjoy the characteristic landscapes of the Andean region.

From Phurawasipata, you will begin the hike to the 7 Colors Mountain, also known as Vinicunca, which is 5,090 meters above sea level. This ascent offers the opportunity to connect with nature and appreciate the biodiversity of the area.

Upon arrival at Vinicunca, you will be greeted by breathtaking scenery that includes the famous seven-colored mountain. This place provides a spectacular view of the Nevado de Ausangate, which rises to 6,384 meters above sea level. You will have plenty of time to take pictures and enjoy the surroundings.

After exploring and appreciating the beauty of the place, you will begin your descent back to Phurawasipata, enjoying the scenery along the way.

Once back in Cusipata, a delicious lunch will be served, where you will be able to taste typical dishes of the region.

Finally, you will start the return trip to Cusco, concluding this enriching experience in the Andean region. This day will allow you to take with you unforgettable memories of your adventure in the 7 Colors Mountain.
