INCA TRAIL TO MACHU PICCHU – 1 DAY

Cusco - Chachabamba - Inti Punku - Machu Picchu - Cusco

The tour starts early in the morning with pick up at your hotel in Cusco or at an agreed meeting point. We will head to Ollantaytambo train station, where we will board the "Expeditions" train that will take us through the Sacred Valley to the beginning of the Inca Trail, known as "Chachabamba" or Km 104 (2,100 m).

Upon arrival at the "INRENA Machu Picchu" checkpoint, you must present your original passport to start the hike. On the way, you will visit the archaeological site of Wiñayhuayna "Forever Young" (2,650 m) and the Inti Punku "Gate of the Sun" (2,730 m), from where you will be able to appreciate the first panoramic view of Machu Picchu.

Afterwards, you will explore the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, where the guide will provide information about its history and mysteries. During the visit, you will have opportunities to take pictures in the most emblematic places, such as the Upper Esplanade and the House of the Guardian.

Finally, we will take a bus to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) and board the train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, transportation will be provided to Cusco.
