MACHU PICCHU BY TRAIN FROM CUSCO – 2 DAYS

We will begin the tour by picking up participants from their hotel in Cusco and embarking on a journey of approximately three hours through the Sacred Valley to Ollantaytambo. From this point, we will board the train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying the impressive views of the Urubamba River and the picturesque Andean villages along the way.

Accommodation will be in a hotel in Aguas Calientes, in a room with private bathroom. During the afternoon, you will have free time to relax in the thermal baths or explore the town. In the evening, a representative will meet you in the hotel lobby to provide detailed information about the next day's itinerary.

Early in the morning, you will receive a box of snacks from the hotel before boarding the bus to Machu Picchu. The ride to the citadel will take about 25 minutes.

Upon arrival at the main entrance to Machu Picchu, the guide will assist you at the security checkpoint, where you will present your original passport along with your entrance ticket.

You will then enjoy a two-hour guided tour of the citadel of Machu Picchu, visiting the main archaeological sites such as the main square, the ceremonial center and the cultivation terraces.

After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the citadel at your own pace or, if you prefer, take an optional hike to the Sun Gate, from where you will have an exclusive panoramic view. For those who wish to ascend Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, the guide will provide assistance for entry.

Finally, you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, followed by the train to Ollantaytambo, where a representative will be waiting to take you back to Cusco.
